Create a server to work with your ServerPilot account
Now, Sign in to your DigitalOcean and click Create Droplet.
ServerPilot runs on 64-bit of Ubuntu 16.04 or 18.04, so under the Distributions tab, select one of those options.
ServerPilot will only install on the new update of Ubuntu server, so do not select anything else under any other. You will not be able to install the ServerPilot if you do. Next, select the size of your Droplet based on your server need.
If asked to create block storage, Skip this step.
Select your region closest to you or to where you will be receiving the most of your traffic. Under select Additional Options, place a checkmark in the box next to the Backups.
If you are given the option to enable backups, it is always the best thing to do. Unless you are an expert in a server, leave other boxes empty. If you want to add SSH keys to your DigitalOcean server, wait until you get connected to the ServerPilot. These are not a necessary thing if you use a very strong password.
Give your Droplet a hostname.
Click Create, and you are done. After you receive your IP address and root password by email from DigitalOcean, log in to your ServerPilot account to connect your server and install your apps.
And that’s how you can create a server to work with your ServerPilot account. If you have any problem, issue or got stuck in any step, please let us know in the comments section below.
